MIPC Study Finds Women Are Key Camera Phone Users
40% of Users Have Printed Camera Phone Photos Rates Highest Among Mothers and Grandmothers

Escondido, CA, October 1, 2007: According to a recent camera phone study completed in Japan by MIPC (The Mobile Imaging and Printing Consortium) over 40% of respondents answered that they have printed out photos taken on their camera phones. Among working women and grandmothers print rates were particularly high, with more than 50% in each group printing photos taken with a camera phone.

MIPC Adopts IrSimple and Launches New Website
Escondido, CA, November 27, 2006 - Mobile Imaging and Printing Consortium (MIPC), a leading industry group developing solutions and implementation guidelines for printing images captured with mobile devices, released an intermediate guideline 2.1 to adopt IrSimple as the technology protocol of choice for Infrared communication. Developed by NTT DoCoMo, Inc., Sharp Corporation, ITX EGlobaledge Corporation, and Waseda University, IrSimple was accepted last year by IrDA (Infrared Data Association) as a globalstandard.
